Monday June 10, 2019:
Continuing at Jamestown, Rhode Island, we explore Fort Wetherill State Park. The state park, established in 1972, is 61.5 acres located on Conanicut Island. It is home to Fort Wetherill (shown above). Built between 1895 and 1903, it is a former coast artillery sitting atop high granite cliffs overlooking the entrance to Narragansett Bay. The fort was deactivated after World War II.
Inspire to imagine, explore, and capture the moment.
